This Mesa dad noticed how popular iPhone applications were -- and created one of his own. He's bringing storytime online.

Justin James helped create a series of children's books for iPhones and iPods. The books are called StoryChimes.

They include music, artwork, and the voices of professional actors. And kids can change pages with the flick of a finger.

James wanted to build these virtual books for two reasons -- to give his daughter Natalie educationally-entertaining reading, and to make money to support his family.

"I want to occupy her time whether we're at the supermarket or something like that. I can give this to her and she can kind of play with it and listen to a story," says James. "I just think it's a little more educational than maybe some sort of game or something she might be playing with."

StoryChimes has gone international on iTunes and its commercial is even airing in Chicago.
